Breckenridge Mountain Biking

For some, vacations are all about relaxation and doing as little as possible. For others, it’s the perfect time to enjoy endless adventures. No matter which group you fall into, you can enjoy your version of the perfect vacation when visiting Breckenridge with Alpine Meadows Management. If you’re looking to add a bit of thrill and adrenaline rush to your itinerary, leave room to go mountain biking in Breckenridge.

Where to Find Mountain Bikes

Unless you live in the Breckenridge area and are planning a staycation at one of our rental properties, bringing your own bike with you isn’t always possible. Luckily, there are several places throughout town that have your bike and equipment needs covered. Carvers Ski + Bike has both carbon and aluminum full-suspension mountain bikes. Another great option is Elevation Ski & Bike, which offers rentals for a full day or multiple days. If you plan on biking the trails at the resort, you can rent a bike from Breck Sports, which has locations on the hill and in town.

Where to Find Trails for All Skill Levels

Breckenridge is home to hundreds of miles of trails, which means there’s something for riders of all abilities. Breckenridge Resort is an excellent location if you’re hoping to spend a full day biking. It features mountain bike-specific trails running from green, blue, and black levels. However, the options don’t end there. For an easy ride, try the River Trail or Lower Flume Trail. For something a bit more challenging but still manageable, ride the 10.5-mile Gold Run Road loop trail.

What Should You Bring with You?

Your bike and helmet aren’t the only things you need for a successful and safe mountain biking excursion. Your checklist should also include things like some type of hydration pack or water bottle, repair kit, first-aid kit, and sunscreen. Because of Breckenridge’s altitude, it’s also important to ensure you properly prepare for your ride. This includes drinking plenty of water and avoiding caffeinated drinks.

Make an Alpine Meadows Management Rental Your Home Base

Whether mountain biking in the summer or dog sledding in the winter, it’s important you have a Breckenridge rental that gives you a space to relax and unwind. No matter which property you reserve from Alpine Meadows Management, rest easy knowing you have a cozy place to call home. While there’s no shortage of things to do at night in town, it’s always a good idea to spend at least one night in. Cook a delicious meal in your fully-equipped kitchen before curling up in the living room to watch a movie.
